About This Image

Alden Weeks was an advertising photographer who worked in New York. In May, 1940 he was profiled in Coronet, a monthly magazine. Weeks is included in the George Eastman House collection.

Clark trained as a painter under William Merritt Chase and George Bellows. He worked in advertising and was Dean of the Cooper Union art school for 7 years. See, "A Century of American Photography," by Keith Davis, p.129. Clark is in the Hallmark Collection (now at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art) and in the collection of the New Orleans Museum of Art.
