In the right corner, at the bottom of the photograph, the dedication in Paul Nadar's hand in French: "To Mr. Lucien Muratore, this portrait of my dear papa [Felix Nadar], who had for him the greatest admiration and the deepest friendship. [signed] M. Paul Nadar.
