J. Gilletta was active in the 1870s-1880s in the south of France and in northwestern Italy. He took a fine series documenting the picturesque but poor alleyways and arches of the Italian town of San Remo. Title and photographer's initials and negative number is printed in a strip reversed out of the bottom of the image
