This study was possibly made by Charles Negre or one of his students. The primitive qualities of the image and the background, etc., lead me to believe that this image was actually taken in the field. Looking at the state of the collodion, it is doubtful that any other or many prints would have been produced. Provenance: Honoré d'Albert.
