A mass of crisscrossed lines fills the frame of this photograph. 'No. 31, 31.8.88' is reversed out of the negative and seen clearly running across one of the lower iron girders of this railroad bridge. A very modern, almost abstract image considering that it was made in 1888. On the verso is mounted another view of the bridge construction.
