Josef Sedlak was active in the 1920s-1930s in Karlsbad, Czechoslovakia. He exhibited at the 23rd Annual Pittsburgh Salon of Photographic Art in 1936, when fellow Czech Dr. D. J. Ruzicka was the juror and perhaps encouraged his fellow Czech countryman to enter the salon. He often took images from extreme angles, adding a sense of modernism to his work.Sedlak is in the George Eastman House database.
