Rich albumen print of one of the most architecturally grand and familiar views in Venice: the grand quai alongside the Doges Palace and St. Mark's campanile. The detail which the albumen process captures makes this an intriguing study. Visible is the checkered stone pattern of the Doges; the onion domes of St. Mark's; the Bridge of Sighs on the far right; and the Clock Tower (between the campanile & palace) where larger than life size sculptures ring the hourly bell. Print has rounded corners on the top.
