Photograph is of the aging facility at the now-defunct Michter's distillery in Pennsylvania. This place started production in the mid-1700s and closed its doors in the 1980s. Michter's was touted as "the bourbon whiskey that warmed the Revolution." The first distillation was done in a continuous still, but the second run through was done in a more labor-intensive pot still.
